META-spec 1.4 is more relevant. CPAN::Meta::Spec is version 2 of the specification and is typically only used in META.json files rather than META.yml. CPAN::Meta::Spec has a more powerful prerequisite specification.

[choroba]: bare SQL seems to work differently. Failing a prepared statement doesn't abort the transaction. So it's a behaviour of the DBD driver

[choroba]: it doesn't abort, but it blocks any other operations than aborting
[choroba]: so it kind of makes sense
