To remove newlines, just use chomp:

@SChk_Out = <DChk>;
chomp @SChk_Out;

BTW, your cat is useless. You can get rid of it as grep accepts filename as an argument:

my $StatChk = 'grep -v OK /tmp/teststatus.txt';
