If there is somebody who wants an answer, mentioning (for example) "Stirling numbers" in the title and/or the module name would help them find (and/or click through to) the node much better.

Sorry, but my question mentioned nothing and sought nothing about "Stirling numbers"; nor do the answers that satisfied my question give any information about Stirling numbers that is insightful about them.
People searching for Stirling numbers would a) be better searching for them in other places; b) only be distracted by finding a thread that carries that phrase in the title, but is completely unrelated to that subject.

sorry, but I find "how to explain this in layman's terms" to be not significantly different from "n00b help needed" , "how do I do this" , etc.

Judging by the speed and thoroughness with which your question was answered, you must not, amazingly, be the only person in the world working on such matters.
The main purpose of good node titles is not to help people find brilliant questions, but rather, useful answers.
