Hi Beech/9mohit2,

Does the two links above (MinGW/dmake) work for ActivePerl? It looks they come from Strawberry?

Thanks a lot for the postings!

To install MinGW and dmake for ActiveState run the following from the command prompt:

    ppm install MinGW

      Hi Marto/9mohit2,

Unfortunately, there are no available free PPMs for our version of activeState perl.
Need to manually install MinGW and dmake.
Not sure whether there are any available combination of MingW and dmake that we can download.
The two links in the forum are from strawberry, not sure it would work for activeState Perl?

Would very appreciate if anyone had successfully downloaded and installed MinGW and dmake for activeState Perl?

      Thanks

You already have the link to dmake.
If you give us the outputs of perl -v (that's a lowercase 'v') and perl -V:gccversion (that's an uppercase 'V') we can probably give you a link to the most appropriate gcc compiler for that perl.

Have you checked for the modules you want to install at the bribes (32-bit and 64-bit) and sisyphusion ppm repos.

        Cheers,
        Rob

dmake works for all versions of Perl.

But if you are using an old version of ActiveState Perl, maybe you could also pay for the support?
