You evaded the main point of my argument: Who created god? And if HE doesn't need a creator, why would something much simpler than HIM need one?

    In these types of discussions, why is it always taken for granted that we're talking about the christian god?
      Because it is pretty much the only game in town when it comes to monotheism? Jews, christians and muslims believe in the same god after all. The hindus have a whole pantheon and the buddhists don't have a god at all (except for the tibetan brand of buddhism which also has a plethora of gods, goddesses and demons).

        Do they really? Or is this just more cultural imperialism talking? Who said we had to restrict ourselves to monotheism in the first place?
