What's fascinating here is that you just displayed a superior knowledge of US history than I think 99‰ Americans themselves, at best, could. What's embarrassing here is that I don' have a similar depth of knowledge of European history, etc. Though in my defense I will say I at least understand how much responsibility for the origin of this discussion topic the American blockades in the Pacific and the Treaty of Versailles bear.

History is a hobby of mine, spreading propaganda another... ;-)

Over 2 millennia of European history are far more complicated to grasp, for instance some things are only understood when you analyse how the Romans recruited their legions.

    > Treaty of Versailles bear.

Not sure what you mean, the problematic American role in Versailles was that they didn't play a role!

The German Empire asked for an armistice based on the Wilson plan only to find out that the US government had no say, except stupidly sending millions of fresh soldiers around.

One of the ironies of this story is that actually the same Germans "liberated" Poland, Ukraine and the Baltics by defeating Russia in 1917 ...
