I'm trying to connect to a Daemon using SOAP::Lite
. My Daemon is set up much like the one in this example
(the example is from the SOAP Cookbook, on the SOAP::Lite homepage).
As a client, how do I specify which port to connect on?

The short answer is, when specifying proxy, supply the PORT in the url, like so:
You should goread SOAP::Lite Guide. It has complete examples of both clients and servers. Normally Cookbook should be read after this guide.
use SOAP::Lite +autodispatch =>
uri => 'http://www.soaplite.com/Temperatures',
proxy => 'http://services.soaplite.com:PORT/temper.cgi';
