This was discussed a couple of weeks ago. The monastery code was subsequently changed (by good brother footpad, I think) so [isbn://] tags now take you to B&N. Note the link in the comment by derby in that thread, which does work, in contradiction to the text around it.

    I think calling that thread a 'discussion' is overstating things a bit. The whole ISBN/Fatbrain/B&N thing was very tersely described and there was no particular resolution mentioned in it. No doubt a number of smart, hardworking saints who are 'in the know' will have fully understood it, but I doubt many others would have. I also can't find any reference to footpad fixing the isbn:// tag anywhere on this site.

    It seems obvious to me that scottstef was only trying to be helpful. When I first saw the root node of this thread, it was at -3. This looks like lame, and maybe even spiteful, downvoting to me.
