In the recent Slashdot poll Perl is behind C++ on the second place.

I think it deserves better ;-)

    It sure would, but then, the poll is only about the *favourite* language, not the best language. :)

    Oh, absolutely it does. It deserves to be in second place behind Lisp. :-)

    < spin > Java and VB were combined for voting. Seems reasonable that Perl and Python could|should be combined as well. Perlthon would then be first. < /spin >
