I thought about submitting my finished code to CPAN or Perlmonks, but there's nothing publishable. The code is specific to the installation of Kasenna MediaBase. There are tricks and concepts I learned along the way, and I learned about a bunch of modules I'd never used before, but nothing publishable. Actually, the most surprising thing I learned was that there are no perl modules for driving package installation for Linux, Irix, or Solaris. Me, I figured that these modules would have been written years ago, but I found nothing.
