Maybe it's because you forgot the closing curly brackets? (or that's a cope-paste error).

Nah, sorry, that's copy'n'paste. In the first instance the changes are made to the scalar contents, but in the second the changes are ignored. Why is this? Cheers, Phil	[reply]
