in thread The sort of fiction you're most likely to find me reading:

For the reccord (not that anyone cares) The wheel of time is a terrible series and an offense readers everywhere. After writing something like 9 books each of which is over 900 pages, you'd think you'd manage to find a conclusion in there someplace. So lest I be accused of going on too long with out my own conclusion, let me say this: I hate hate hate hate!

the series is getting rather long indeed, i finished the 10th book a while ago and waiting for the next.

can you imagine i read volumes 1 to 7 about 3 times? *grin*
Yeah, but mostly because my mother has done the same thing.. She rereads the entire series every time he finally finishes a new book.
Speaking of a series too long, have you tried L Ron Hubbard's Mission Earth series? I bought all of them as a package deal at a yard sale (10 volumes if I remember)... I only made it to the third one before I gave up on it entirely. That man could be long winded for sure! :)

Battlefield Earth was a good read. But hack off the last 200 pages or so and it's much better :)

[Corion]: Oh yay. Thanks to The New Firefox, my irc client ChatZilla doesn't work anymore either... So I'll have to keep an old FF around just for that...
[Corion]: 100% of my FF add-ons are unsupported currently. Maybe upgrading Firefox wasn't such a good idea after all ;)
[Corion]: Also suffering is my 2-factor Github sign-in, as now, FF can't read my USB token anymore. "This was a horrible idea" is slowly dawning on me ;)
[Corion]: Yay. FF now has u2f built-in (behind an about:config setting), so using an USB token to sign in actually works :)
[Corion]: So, it's not all bad with the new FF :)
