( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Well, one of the reasons I didn't posted here is because I didn't had an account until last week. First time I tried to create an account (2 years ago), the sign-up process didn't worked out for me.

I mocked up the gods page because that was the page I had open when I decided to do the face lift exercises. Indeed, a page with threaded discussions and some code on it would have been a more fortunate choice.

From what I understand in this thread, lots of people see benefits in redesigning the site - what I can't seem to find is some good reasons for not doing it.

If people in charge would give me access to perlmonks codebase, I'd take time and do it myself. Regarding the final theme, I think a poll would be more than welcome

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
