I've been asked recently how to tell which perl module overrides a function. Here's an exapmle I managed to write. It's incomplete and most certainly buggy, but I don't think the task in question is worth a full-blown CPAN module anyway.

my $guard = guard { Carp::cluck "Function replaced!" };

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
