Hello monks,
In attempting to execute the following code:
use strict;
use warnings;
use v5.16;
my %docs;
my @data;
dbmopen %docs, 'mydocs', undef or die $!;
open FH, 'C:/perlfunc.pod' or die $!;
@data = <FH>;
for (@data) {
if (/^item\s+(\w+).*$/) {
$docs{$1} = $.;
}
}
dbmclose %docs;
A "pop-up" message appeared that stated msys-perl5_8.dll could not be found. Since I am using ActivePerl 5.16.3, I thought this was rather odd. Is there a way to fix this error (perhaps with a registry "adjustment")?
Thanks.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
