Since it's come up lately a lot on the forums... here's a Poll for what would be a bunch of new names for Perl 6...
Other Alternative names for Perl 6...
- Perl++ - As C is to C++, so are the days of our lives.
- Pirl - The next vowell after "e", same pronounciation...
- Lerp - Kinda like Larping...
- Perlex - Perl's Ex Lover...
- Perlican - Pelican, hey it's an animal.
- Perlium - Sounds like a newly discovered element on the periodic table.
- Pern - Mascot could be a dragon, might get sued by Anne MacCaffrey...
- Pert - Mascot could be a young girl
- Perv - Mascot could be an overweight, adult, with a skin condition, living in his parent's basement.
- Perj - Prounounced Purge, as in a purge of the old Perl but still kinda perly.
- Perly - It's a Perly language...
- Perk - Using this language has its perks...
- Perm - (already mentioned) "m" is the next letter after "l"; mascot would be a frizzy hairdo.
- Prel - not just shampoo... or Perl for the dyslexic...
- Pretzel - because it just works...
