I didn't dispute the fact that the OP should have gone looking first. I just think it's pretty belligerent to assume he must be trolling for a flame war.

    Well, editor flame wars are as old as the second editor ever made. It's a more well known "holy war" than "Windows vs Unix" (and older too) or "SysV vs BSD". It's a rare occasion that a discussion about editors doesn't end with "the editor I use rocks, and the editor you use sucks".

    I consider any editor discussion to be a flame fest, unless proven otherwise.
