Reading cookies

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have been all over the internet in search of someone who maybe able to help me. I have a set of cookies I need read. I have lost a passowrd and I am hoping that the cookies I have saved contain the important information I need. If you can help me, please post and I will add the cookie information i have.

    Not sure if I understand your question, but I think you're asking how to access the cookies saved on your machine, right?

    Assuming that's what you're interested in, and MS Internet Explorer is the browser you used when you received the cookies, here's what the Microsoft Help says:

    - in MS Internet Explorer, choose - Tools - Internet Options - General - Temporary Internet Files - Settings - View Files
    Hopefully you can find the cookies you are interested in there.

    If you use a different browser, look around in that browsers "Options" or "Settings" and find the location of the cookies.
