I'd be happy to send you one. In order to send it, I'll need your passport ID, your bank account number and PIN, and a complete sexual history. Please put these on your scratchpad and I'll send you the keylogger as soon as I've verified the information by undetectably keylogging you.

OMG! I can't believe this... I'm laughing very hard at the original poster! Setting aside the legalities and the invasion of privacy...

Perl is ill suited for any type of hidden activity because the perl interpreter has a large foot print as well as being easily identifiable by a monitoring program.

I'm sorry and I'm being rude but the question of the original poster brings to mind "script kiddie" and idiot in the same thought. I scoff in his/her general direction. omg... I'm still laughing.

    it's just so silly

      Hi,

Taking a look at Nik's questions I hope I'm misinterpreting - I really do - but it appears that Nik might be attempting to create a website that installs trojans (not the condom btw).

please let me be wrong on this one! Good thing I use Firefox

Now *that* would be funny, a site that installed Trojan Condoms. :-D

Update: Changed to per ambrus's comment.

Look at uberkey. It's c, but simple enough, you could convert it, but not hide it. If you want to really hide a keylogger, you would have to patch your shell interpreters, or even the kernel. But it would be hard to hide the file, where the logging occurs. (Thats why businesses like using windows, it makes keylogging easy :-) )

Why make life easy for a damned script kiddie?
      What if i,
Get a decent trojan, and hex edit it, compress, encrypt, bind it, and do whatever else i need to do to make it undetectable.
But if i am gonna do that, will then the trojan be able to execute itself?
Put the "trojan" over your head ... practice "Safe Computing". :-)

It sounds like you are coming from Winblows, where "it is designed for spying". Nothing is "undetectable in Linux", you would have to change the kernel, even to try to hide something. So you would have to be root, and it would be your system. If you setup a system, and fool users into believing they are "safe", but are "keystroke recording them", you are probably breaking the law.

Be like the "big-time-spy-guys", and attack the problem at it's weakest point. That means use bugs, cameras, and electromagntic pulse recording.

By the way, did you know there is a camera out, which is the size of a postage stamp, and is crytal clear? Have you looked closely at the walls and ceiling around your computer? They can also bounce a laser off of your monitor, and get an image of what keys you are typing, and what you are looking at? Even if you have "privavcy glass" in all your windows, there are ways to "see thru it". For keystroke recording, all they need is an audio bug..why?...each key on your keyboard makes a "distinctive click" when it is pressed. All they need to do, is bounce a laser off of your window, and they can hear every keyclick you make.

So forget about trying to put trojans, into linux machines, you are wasting your time.
