in reply to How has Perl helped you?

Through Perl I have learned that I can create beautiful things with some very ugly code, and some ugly things with some beautiful code - and many things in between. I don't code for a living, but I live for the code. Only with perl do I wake up at 3 in the morning and have solved some bizzare problem with some code that I dreamt up while sleeping. I am not a hacker or a cracker, but definatley a hack. Through perl I have learned that there is more to life than 42.
