I'm Andrew Gianni, a Web Application Developer for the University at Buffalo (SUNY) Administrative Computing Services and a Masters student in the UB Informatics Program.

I cut my teeth on Perl in '94 when working as a student assistant at UB while working on my BA in CS. I was tasked to convert a gopher site into a Web site and Perl seemed perfect for the job (they assumed I'd do it by hand), so I bought the (pink) camel book and the rest is history.

I am currently working on a series of nodes on refactoring perl in the Meditations section of Perl Monks.

perl -e'map\ {map{print chr }/\d\ {3}/gx }join q{},\ split/\s/sx,q(0741171151\ 16032097110111116104101\ 114 032 080 10 1\ 114 108 032 104 \ 09 70 99 10\ 7 1 0 1\ 1 1 4 0\ 4 4 ) ;'
