International Perl Developers Meeting will take place at Porto Alegre in april

The International Perl Developers Meeting – YAPC::Brasil::2006 (Yet Another Perl Conference) will happen inside the 7th Free Software International Forum, which will take place between april 19th and april 22th at the FIERGS Meeting Center.

The meeting, officially supported by Perl Foundation, entity based on the United States of America wich supports the use and development of the language worldwide, arrives to its second edition, proving the power of the language in Brazil.

The meeting will have Porto Alegre Perl Mongers as the host and is organized by Sociedade Perl do Brasil [Perl Society of Brazil], entities that will be represented by Flávio S. Glock fglock, Marco Lima Mago and Er Galvão Abbott DaWolf. One of the biggest attractions of this event will be the presence of great lecturers, like Randal L. Schwartz merlyn, one of the most influent personalities of the language worldwide and author of many Perl books and David Fetter, member of the development team of PostgreSQL, a powerful Relational Databases Managing System.

Some YAPC activities will be free, while others, that will take place in the Forum will be available only for those who subscribed for it.

Encontro Internacional de Desenvolvedores Perl acontece em Porto Alegre em abril

Durante o 7º Fórum Internacional de Software Livre, que acontece de 19 a 22 de abril de 2006 no Centro de Eventos da FIERGS, será realizado o Encontro Internacional de Desenvolvedores Perl - YAPC::Brasil::2006 (Yet Another Perl Conference, ou seja, Mais Uma Conferência Sobre Perl).

O evento, oficialmente homologado pela Perl Foundation, entidade sediada nos Estados Unidos que apóia o uso e o desenvolvimento da linguagem em nível mundial, chega em sua segunda edição comprovando a força da linguagem no Brasil.

O encontro terá como anfitrião o grupo Porto Alegre Perl Mongers e organização da Sociedade Perl do Brasil, entidades representadas nas pessoas de Flávio S. Glock fglock, Marco Lima Mago e Er Galvão Abbott DaWolf. Um dos grandes atrativos da conferência é a presença de palestrantes de peso, como Randal L. Schwartz merlyn, uma das personalidades mais influentes da linguagem no mundo e autor de diversos livros, e David Fetter, integrante da equipe de desenvolvimento do PostgreSQL, um poderoso Sistema Gerenciador de Bancos de Dados.

Algumas atividades do YAPC serão gratuitas, enquanto outras ocorrerão dentro da programação do Fórum e estarão disponíveis apenas para os inscritos no mesmo.
