It may be that you are running out of cache. Try hacking the BDB env setup:

my $env = new BerkeleyDB::Env
-Cachesize => 131072,  # or larger
...

That was it! I'm going to contact the module author about passing more configuration options to BDB Env. What do I have to keep an eye on that concerns the cache usage? Is it the number of keys? Largest entry? Total size? Thanks for the help.	[reply]
