As reported here, Fonality are running a Perl golf competition with cash prizes. The competition is also being used for recruiting, apparently.

The competition ends on 1st January, 2007.

    While it's an interesting idea, I'm not sure I'd want to use a golf competition as a way to recruit new hires... ;-)

    Besides the obvious, this type of competition will exclude many perfectly capable potentials. Ah well - to Fonality, I say, "Kudos!" for picking Perl, and shrug my shoulders over your recruitment methods ;-)
