uksza has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi,

anybody knows what's with Ovid's CGI Course? For last days site is unavailable.
Is any place where this Course is available (except google cache)?

Update
Ovid's CGI Course is online again.

greetz, Uksza

Yes, smart people know that fat arrow autoquotes the left argument. But why should you require your code to be maintained by smart people? Randal L. Schwartz, Perl hacker

why don't you send a mail to info@easystreet.com and asked for the details ?
Ovid has some modules on CPAN. I searched for "ovid" in "Authors" and found contact information on the page for Curtis "Ovid" Poe .

Alas, the courses seem to be offline again. Correction: -Yes, it does work now. Must have been temporarily down.

It works just fine for me. Maybe you're having network issues.

Update: This, the site of the original Ovid's CGI Course, appears to be gone for good.

It's gone again. Anyone have a mirror?
Working here too (UK, Telewest blueyonder, erm, Virgin Media this week, I think)

It is now available again: Ovid's CGI Course. This time it is maintained by PerlMonks' Pedagogues. :-)

Between the mind which plans and the hands which build, there must be a mediator... and this mediator must be the heart.

Any chance of Ovid's CGI Course going back up again or would anyone happen to know if it exists anywhere else besides: http://jdporter.perlmonk.org/cgi_course/? Can this be placed on the PerlMonks Tutorials section?

      Thank you.

Thank you for your interest. No, it cannot be put in our Tutorials section here because it is far too large and includes images. While perlmonk.org is down for a while, efforts are under way to get it back on its feet. Once that's done, we'll examine ways to make the system more robust.

I reckon we are the only monastery ever to have a dungeon stuffed with 16,000 zombies.
