We (as in perlmonks) have a few TLDs already and today, while commuting and fed up with the regular news sources, I wondered if I could read perlmonks on my cellphone. Maybe I'm missed something, but AFAIK, there's no stylesheet or specific site for mobile phone browsers (yet)

How about getting perlmonks.mobi, for all us mobile geeks? (I'm fine with m.perlmonks.org also ;-)

Are you OK with using http://perlmonks.org/bare/? It's no fancy domain, but it works quite well on my Nokia 9300, and I guess it works as well for tye too (because he wrote it).

That's a start ;) Too bad it's still a little too wide for my screen and it does require me to login first (?)

How else would PM know that it's you unless you log in first? But if you're content with surfing as the unnamed one, you can use /bare directly.

You can of course purchase perlmonks.mobi yourself and just point it at the site... (you'd still have to type that /bare/ by hand, but hey).

I bought codehelp.us for some stupid reason and I tried pointing http://perl.codehelp.us/ at perlmonks. It works, which isn't shocking, but more interesting is that you can login and use the site normally. PM apparently doesn't set the domain in the cookies, so you can login as whatever domain you like.

My hunch is that if someone pointed .mobi at the site, someone would teach pm to automatically cd into /bare/ for that domain ... I could be wrong.
