Of those three threads, two are entirely about how perl *isn't* available and how google people *aren't* working on it. The third starts like that but has a comment about how google have just started on it. That one comment is quite hard to find amidst the sea of grumbling about how google don't support perl.
Bravo to the original poster then, for bringing this to peoples' attention!
