For you, it may be a no-go, but there are many other people who use it. And API-wise, AnyEvent isn't bad, and I think it's a better API than POE, for example.

It may well have, I wouldn't know having gone blind with rage partway through reading the documentation that I had to close the browser before I attempted to remove my eyeballs with a spoon in disgust

[james28909]: id just rename the subrouties perl what kind of data they are getting. something easy to remember too. like if get_data were returning movies titles, rename get_data to movies or movie_titles or get_movie_titles.
