Node 1000000 will be:

  • The return of paco!
  • A 'Perl is dead' style rant.
  • A homework question.
  • The homenode of our new overlord.
  • Announcement that Perl 6 is "ready".
  • Something else (please specify).

Update: changed node number to 1000000 from 900000, which crept up quickly.

    • never created (due to some obscure 6-digit-node-number-limitation well hidden in the PerlMonks-code)

    great poll, btw!

[Lady_Aleena]: Why does grep(/.*$in.*/, @my_modules) work but grep { $_ =~ /.*$in.*/; $_ } @my_modules not work? What did I do wrong in the second?
[tobyink]: Why are you returning $_ n your grep block? You should return a boolean.
[tobyink]: *in your grep block
[tobyink]: You can use grep { $_ =~ /.*$in.*/; } @my_modules but why not stick to grep(/.*$in.*/, @my_modules)? (The latter is faster.)
