in reply to Other technologies with Perl

Lot of peaple have told me to switch to JAVA but I like asp.net more than java. Can anybody please guide me which technology should i learn with perl?...

You should ask your employer which technology to learn, but in the meantime, learn different programming paradigms, it makes learning different technologies easier.

In the alternative, pick a topic you find interesting (say bioinformatics), and contribute to an open source project (bioperl) as a means to simultaneously build experience (resume) expand your knowledge (of bioinformatics).

Learn a new language, and learn its idioms and best practices, and practice.

It doesn't really matter :) pick one and shift paradigms. Lisp, Haskell, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, C++, C#... if you've heard of it, and its not php ;) its a fine choice.

      please name and mail address!!;=)
