compilation aborted, but how to know why?

metaperl has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

After installing Finance::Bitcoin, I attempted to run the program examples\ but came across an error I dont know how to solve:
c:\Users\thequietcenter\prg\Finance-Bitcoin-0.003>examples\FB_high examples\ BEGIN not safe after errors--compilation aborted at C:/strawberry/perl +/lib/Carp/ line 11. Compilation failed in require at C:/strawberry/perl/lib/ line 3 +3.

    $ perl -Mblib examples\ syntax error at examples\ line 12, near "->receive +d)" Execution of examples\ aborted due to compilation +errors.
