I suspect strongly that you may be using the wrong portion of your key-try using "/Users/jaldama /.ssh/id_dsa" instead of "/Users/jaldama /.ssh/". (The .pub file is normally the portion you copy into the authorized_keys file in the account on the remote server, while the file without is normally the private key, at least as I understand it.)
