( #3333=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

i've cut down on my intake several times over the years, but at some time or another find myself having to do with less sleep, and more activity, so i start chugging ye olde coffee again. i did find that if i drink a couple cups of expresso fairly quickly, though, that i don't crave the java as much throughout the day. maybe it's like that 'crack rush' i keep hearing about. (;

If you're drinking diet soda with aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal, et al.) in it, stop that right now. That crap is poison. It can cause headeaches, which is actually the least of the damage it does to a body.

hm, i knew it was bad for you, but i'd always just assumed i had an allergy towards it when it gave me headaches. (yay, i'm not a hypochondriac!)

    [hippo]: I had a low-paid job about 20 years ago and seriously considered going down to a 3-day week. Would have worked 60% of the time for about 80% of the cash.
    [Corion]: ambrus: Well, I pay rent, but don't own a house with variable/ unforeseeable costs
    [hippo]: The thesholds/benefits balance at the time was nuts.
    [hippo]: But that doesn't last because, you know ... politicians. :(
    [Corion]: hippo: Yeah, if you still get enough money to get by and don't have expensive hobbies or other fixed costs that can work out well
    [ambrus]: ah good. I pay only rent too. but that still costs significant money.
    [Corion]: ambrus: Yes, but that is already budgeted for
    [holli]: Corion is well off. I am sure there is a script of his running in the frankfurt banking data center, diligently mining bitcoins ;-)
