I did, but the results weren't very useful to me because
1) I have never looked at the output much before and don't know how to read it; and 2) the code is part of a project,
and so the tracelog that was generated was 690 lines long.
When the deadline is less pressing I hope to have time
to product a test case that demonstrates the problem, but
I know I won't be given time for it now that I've come
up with a solution (the project is quite urgent).
I'm just curious now! As I stated, it's
not a real problem anymore, but I would like to know
why. :)

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
