Definitely carrier pigeon. If you want to receive a message no earlier 10 hours after it was supposed to arrive, especially from those instant messenger pixies that disturb your work, there is no better piece of mind than pigeons. Ideally, dodo would be my preferred mode of travel...in fact, I'll make it a write in a vote.
