Then you either didn't see the post or you have very poor memory, because those comments were from user Plankton about 2 days ago.

Addressing your two points one at a time;

1

aXML is not like any other system I've ever seen so it's hardly fair to say that it's a reinvention of an existing wheel. Also, what makes you think the implementation is poor? The new version is very fast, and the old version has been in use on a couple of my sites for a long time and whilst it's too slow for a major site, the uptime and memory usage has always been great.

As for new ground, yes indeed as you will see eventually when an aXML aware editor comes along, and the whole business of development and debugging is hugely streamlined by it.

2

I have this really cool new invention that I want to share; what am I supposed to do? What would you do? At the end of the day, my apparent self-aggrandising happened because people incorrectly and without basis, judged my work to be worthless, forcing me to defend it. Also I was not allowed to walk away from the situation like I wanted to, so I had no choice but to either prove myself or accept a public permanent record of failure. So what would you do?

I don't care if you find my actions irritating, I find being held hostage by this website irritating but I live with it.

What would impress you? You want aXML to make you a cup of tea while your browsing? I submit your un-impressable and cynically jaundiced against something you don't understand and don't want to know about. (Your loss tbh)

Finally, I have mentioned wanting to come up with a better name before because there is also a company out there using the name aXML, something I didn't find out until a long time after I had already been using the name for sometime. I asked for suggestions and got nothing but childish jokes, which according to my experience is just about par-for-the-course on this site.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong>   <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
