Thanks for all of your input into the possible changes to the the way the Perl Monks fund is used.

People seem to have been okay with the changes being tossed around. From here on out the fund will be used to help to advance the site in whatever ways make sense at a given time. Currently fund usage will be slanted towards development. This may change, so I consider the fund use to be flexible so it can adapt to changing site needs.

As always I'll take your input into this and any other site issues. I do however reserve the right to make final decisions on what I consider to be best for the site.

You can donate to the fund at http://donate.yetanother.org/index.pl?node=Contribution%20Info

So does this mean that tye's work on node caching will go forward? I'll probably donate at least a few bucks. I should select "Perl Monks Fund", not "Perl Development Fund" (which is default on that page), right?
Node caching would be the first probable use of the fund I see on the radar. A lot of the specifics would still need to be worked out though.

And yes, the fund you want is the Perl Monks Fund.

I made a small donation yesterday and plan on making more in the near future. PerlMonks is a great community resource! This is just one more way that I can give something back.

I encourage everyone who pledged to go ahead and send that donation in!
