    I didn't downvote above but probably should. A sarcastic answer to punish one lazy hacker might bite neophyte seekers down the road who will ask with tears in glassy eyes: WHY? WHY DOES TEH PERL DO THIS TO ME?

      1) Thank you for not downvoting it further... :-). A ++ for that.

      2) To the question: Everybody will answer: It wasn't perl doing it to you. It was this bad SQL. ;-)

      3) One lesson is also: Don't do copy&paste without understanding what you're copying from elsewhere.

      4) Another lesson: Formulate your wishes precisely: My solution does what was requested. The word only was missing in the initial question.

      Now, I'll see how much penance I have to do for my sarcastic sin... :-)
