<musing type="off topic">Sadly, that statement is seldom true anymore, thanks to Gary Bettman and his cadre of politically-correct, big-business marketeers trying to appeal to big-market US-based audiences that will barely notice (much less care) about hockey... They're spoiling the game.</musing>

Ah..."Old Time Hockey"....I used to enjoy to old Blackhawks - North Stars games where even the coaches would be on the ice. They would try to get into it, but those dress shoes just don't do to well on ice.

LOL yeah. I'm not a particularly violent person really, but I got to let my aggression out in some fashion :-) Hockey is a rough game, even without fights. I think I've only had to try to break up one fight so far (I play in an adult league and also volunteer to ref some games). Personally, I think they should reduce the number of players by one, skate 4 on 4 instead of 5 on 5. But thats just me :-)

"Ex libris un peut de tout"
I like walking around in our below-freezing temperatures without a coat or with just a light jacket and freaking people out. I stay unusually comfortable in the cold. I do dress warmly of course once the temps get down to the single digits Fahrenheit or if I'm going to be out in below freezing temps for extended periods. I do get cold, it jsut takes lower temps than for most people in my area.

      By the way...

That's what they do now. They just wait until after the fight to do it. ;-)
