I have a rope light (Christmas lights encased in a flexible, clear piece of tubing) running up and down the sides of my computer shelves since I felt that there weren't enough lights on my computer shelves.

Last week I brought in some blue rope lights to frame my cube. This week, the occupant of the next cube over brought in red rope lights. It's starting to look pretty cool in here!
