Bowie J. Poag is a Senior Systems Engineer, SAN/NAS Administrator, and Software Developer. He's been working in the IT industry since he was a teenager in the early-mid 1990's, and has a total of about 25 years experience working with Unix in various incarnations ranging from AIX, to IRIX, to Linux. For the past 15 years, Bowie has worked in enterprise healthcare IT, with a focus on storage administration, systems administration, performance tuning, and storage analytics.
Bowie's side hobbies/interests include secretly binge-watching MST3K and Rifftrax when his wife and son aren't looking, listening to electronic music, creating digital art, archaeology, astronomy, history, and space exploration. Bowie is also a supporter of early childhood education, nature conservancy, and the arts.
