&lt;p&gt;Ah, yes--that makes sense!  Used the hours calculation for all four snippets:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;c&gt;
$amount = $amount * 60 * 60;
&lt;/c&gt;
&lt;p&gt;and got identical results, until 79 hours was used (a result difference of 2), but I suspect the division in the &lt;c&gt;grep { -M &gt;= $amount / 86400 }&lt;/c&gt; yields a different precision.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Interestingly, &lt;c&gt;IO::All&lt;/c&gt; didn't see the file "song&amp;#33258;&amp;#28982;&amp;#20043;&amp;#27468;," but &lt;c&gt;File::Find::Rule&lt;/c&gt; did (and should have).&lt;/p&gt;</field>
