I'm investigating writing a shrink-wrapped data-migration tool for non-technical users. It has to be win32 and it has to be gui. What's the best approach?
I would like to write the guts of this app in perl. It needs a pretty slick autoinstall. Would an all perl Tk app, including modules like Net::Telnet, Date::Manip, Win32::ODBC/DBI be a contender and how should I pull it all together i.e. could perl2exe work, is anybody else doing this?
If not, is VC++ and perl doable?
Many thanks for any info!</field>
