&lt;p&gt;I wish it were so, but I fear that of some of them will only remain a steaming pile of crap. Then one could reason about whether they are to be called Perl &lt;em&gt;programmers&lt;/em&gt; or if some other term is more appropriate... but I bet there are crowds of individuals more or less officially appointed the name of "Perl programmers" falling in the category described above...&lt;/p&gt;
