Some of you might have heard it, some might not. Here is the
final posting about he PerlMonks Birds Of Feather meeting during
YAPC::Europe 2.0.01 in Amsterdam.
Originally this meeting was scheduled at Saturday evening, but since some people are already leaving before that, among them our fearless leader, we decided to move it to Friday.
Yes, Friday is also the night of the YAPC 'Official' Pubcrawl, but we'll have our Perlmonks meeting before that. Here's the idea:
We'll meet at the bar in the HS Holland (where the YAPC is being held) after the last talk on Friday. I will be there, and you will probably recognize me. If you don't, you are either not too bright, or are not attending the right talks :). I will be doing the welcome-speech on Friday at 09:00, will probably be wearing a bright-orange YAPC-Crew shirt, be 2 meters tall and if you still don't know it, I have a recent, recognizable picture of myself on my homenode.
We'll be at the YAPC Bar for at least an hour, and will then leave to find a decent place to have dinner (I will probably have found a location by then...I don't know now...). In case you're late, use my cellphone number you can find (also) on my homenode. This number will be there until the last day of the conference...
After the dinner, we will just keep on talking and we can go to the pubcrawl-starting point together, which will start at 21:00h.
