Thanks, that's good constructive comment/criticism. I'll look into those when I have time. I hope to get more feedback from others, if there is any more feedback that can be offered.

One question to add, if anyone can provide feedback: how might I best test this Perl remote server implementation and package the tests for CPAN module distribution? And any tutorial links for testing Perl code?

See Testing Tutorials, Test::XT, and see how these modules do tests, Plack, Dancer

Then think about what you're going to test about your module :)

Depending on what you're testing, you might mock use a live test server, that uses a few raw SOAP responses ... but I really don't know what you should test :)

See also PrePAN - Social Reviewing for Perl Modules and http://codereview.stackexchange.com/, but I expect, around christmas/holiday season, traffic to be equally as low as perlmonks :)
