How do I rectify this code? Thanks!

    Maybe your terminal window isn't configured to work with UTF-8? Then producing valid UTF-8 won't really help you at all.

    When I remove all the unnecessary modules, your code works fine for me under linux, with a terminal configured to use UTF-8.
