in thread How many man-hours would you estimate you have invested in learning Perl?

You read aggression into anything you can't respond to, but just your saying it does not make it so. And each time you play to your agenda, rather than respond to what is written, it becomes clearer to every one just what your game is.

Community is about the needs and desires of the whole community, and single issue zealots stand out liek sore thumbs.

oh yeah, now that you say it - the post was really friendly. my fault. and sexism does not exist - is an invention of attention-seeking women. glad we talked about it. now go back to kindergarden.

Now you're just being petulant. Of course sexism exists.

It's just not the only issue. Nor is every instance as important as every other.

Getting your knickers in a wad over the slightly dubious phrasing of an otherwise innocuous joke, with patently no mal-intent behind it, when there are real issues in this world, like the ingrained misogynism that lies behind Malala's bullet, is just self-indulgent meism.

BTW. Your tone has changed. You seem to be getting a little frantic. Is every thing okay?

        Now you're just being petulant.
I'm sorry. I forgot you have the exclusive right for that.
when there are real issues in this world
this argument is so ridiculous, and it always has been. I wonder why people still use it. so, as long there are "real" issues, we shouldn't care about the more trivial ones? isn't there the possibility that allowing the trivial problems actually helps creating a climate for the more "real" problems?
