My name is Rob, been into computers since the 80's.
Started with the MSX1 where I learned a bit of BASIC and ML/ASM, moved to the SEGA Master System, NES, SNES, N64 and moved on to the Playstation 1, 2, & 3. In the mean time I had a DOS XT, 80386/486 evolving into the first Pentiums with all the windows flavours.
Mainly I used the PC as MIDI/WAV sequencer as a musician, learned HTML/CSS & Javas‎crip‎t since I was a party-promotor/organiser and created some Graphic designs and made some websites. My job took me away from the computer for a couple of years but since 4-5 years I got some spare time and fell in love with Linux and decided to pick up programming again.
Perl is a very fun to write language and pretty easy to get into the basics. I use it mainly for automating filename/textfile stuff and some experimentation, I'd love to do a full text adventure or graphic novel in Perl someday.

My other projects are at:
I've got a blog but its not really used anymore:
My website (new one coming up soon !!)
And some music, although its also a bit old:
My music
I hope to be able to make coding my job someday or at least be able to make some money of it so I can spend more time coding and learning new stuff so I can give back to the amazing open-source community.
