Try IO::Dirent. It seems more robust.
#!/usr/bin/perl -l use strict; use warnings; use IO::Dirent; my (@dirs) = '/'; foreach my $dir (@dirs) { opendir DIR, $dir; while ( my $entry = nextdirent(DIR) ) { print $entry->{'name'}; print $entry->{'type'}; print $entry->{'inode'}; } closedir DIR; }
